CZECH REPUBLIC • Colognia Press has invested in roll changing automation for his second Gallus RCS 330 press. The Czech company has installed a MBSC butt splicer and a STR automatic turret rewinder of Martin Automatic at its plant in Kolin. By doing this investment, Colognia Press seeks to provide to its clients a reliable service in the field of shrink sleeves.

According to the companies, the new Martin Automatic STR offers inline slitting so that Colognia can produce finished rolls on the press and ship them straightaway. As a result, orders can be turned faster with fewer staff.

Furthermore, Colognia plans a factory extension to accommodate finished goods and allow a better management of inventory. This plan would be combined with the recent opening of a sales office in Frankfurt, Germany in order to better serve the German speaking and other western European markets.
