Dilli – First NeoMercury digital label press installed in Italy

R.F. Etichette installed the first Dilli NeoMercury press in Italy

ITALY • To update and expand its existing flexo print service, label printer R.F. Etichette is  the first company in Italy to invest in the Dilli NeoMercury NM-350W digital label press, together with a near-line high speed finishing semi-rotary machine. The new press was installed in April at its facility near Monza and started printing labels for regular clients the same week. This press is on display at the Dilli stand at drupa (Hall 10 Stand A21).

The standard 50 m/minute (164 pfm) running speed of the NeoMercury NM-350 combined with a web width of up to 350 mm (18”) and the ability to print on material from 25 to 600 microns enables it to deliver an output of about 1000 sqm/hour with photo-realistic quality. It is equipped with an automated head cleaning function that simplifies maintenance.

NeoMercury incorporates single-pass greyscale piezo print heads with droplet size as small as 3 picolitres. The selection of printing resolutions of 600dpi, 900 dpi or 1200 dpi combined with the very small droplet size and the grey levels gives sharp, well-defined images and text and a wide gamut. A programmable LED pinning system between colours secures optimal drying result while reducing heat generation and reducing energy consumption.

R.F. Etichette is a 20 years old family owned company and offers a complete design, prepress, print and finishing service on its flexo machines, specialising in producing a wide range of self-adhesive and non-self-adhesive labels for its trade customers. The three associates wanted to update the existing kit to increase productivity while maintaining superb quality print output.
