ETI Converting – JFlex Digital revealed to North America

More than 100 visitors met at ETI’s headquarters in Boucherville to see latest printing and converting technology

Canada • Around 100 visitors representing label printers and raw material suppliers met at the company’s headquarters in Boucherville, Quebec, to participate in an Open House. Among the highlights of this event was the launch of the Mini-Cohesio equipped with a JFlex digital print system and a Pellicut, a high speed rotary die-cutting system for thin liners. Labelexpo Europe attendees will be able to see the equipment running live at the ETI Converting stand at Hall 5 Stand C28.

ETI did run a job combining two printing processes, the flexo and the digital, on a 4 mil. high gloss paper. The hotmelt adhesive and the silicone were applied on an 18 micron PET liner, then die-cut with the Pellicut technology. All operations were done in-line at a speed of 84 m/min (275 fpm) with a high quality printing of 14 micron dots at 1600 x 1375 dpi. There was also a demo on a 560 mm (22”) Cohesio equipped with an ETI turret rewinder for the production of small rolls of blank labels.
