Hapa – Scoring with innovations at Labelexpo Europe

Integrated into a IMD Closure Digital Print (CLDP) solution, the “redcube plus” will print bottle closures in a CMYK plus white application

BELGIUM • Hapa demonstrated UV DOD piezo digital printing on foils and labels at Labelexpo, as well scoring a direct hit printing bottle closures in unprecedented quality. The direct-print of the closures was made possible with the “redcube plus”, the newly developed UV DOD printing module, heart of Hapa’s latest modular systems.

The new UV DOD printing module “redcube plus” was premiered demonstrating five-color. Integrated into the IMD Closure Digital Print (CLDP) solution, the “redcube plus” will print bottle closures in a CMYK plus white application. The print resolution of 720 dpi, and the simple, fast, digital format and design change enables a flexible, customer-specific printing of closures in a quality never seen before now.

One of Hapa’s most innovative developments is the Hapa 862. At Labelexpo, it printed complex graphics as well as serialized data onto foils, labels and other roll-fed materials. The modular system is scalable and configurable integrated directly into a packaging line or near to line, roll to roll. It merges with existing processes and integrates with ERP/workflow. At the heart of the system is the newly developed UV DOD printing module “redcube plus”, itself scalable, going from one-color print capacity to four spot colors or CMYK.
