IST Metz: New sales office in Japan

Expanding in Asia

Office of IST East Asia in Kamata, Tokyo.

GERMANY IST Metz, a German based supplier of UV curing systems, will be opening a new sales office in Tokyo on 1 April.

Following the establishment of subsidiaries in China in 2010 and Thailand in 2011, the company is set to further explore the East Asian market. The main focus of the new IST Metz East Asia K.K. will be to attract new clientele from outside the graphics industry. “We will have access to both the Japanese and Korean markets from our Tokyo base, whose close technological and economic ties go beyond the print sector,” says Markus Thinnes, who will be taking over as head of the new company. The experienced salesman has been working in the Japanese printing sector for the past 17 years, five of which were spent at IST Metz. At the office in Tokyo, Thinnes will initially be joined by one colleague who will be responsible for technical services.

IST East Asia K.K. also represents the tenth international subsidiary of IST Metz since it was established. Six subsidiaries in Western Europe, a company in the US, as well as the subsidiaries in China and Thailand, make up the international sales offices managed by IST Metz.
