MPS – First hybrid EF SymJet sale at Labelexpo Europe

First SYMJET press sold to Optikett - Matthias and Daniel Ostendorf and Bert van Brink of MPS LR are confident

NETHERLANDS • MPS announced a successful Labelexpo Europe event. Breaking news was MPS’ partnership with Domino in the design of the EF SymJet press and the sale of the first SymJet press during the show to the German printer Optikett.

The Domino digital unit uses Kyocera print heads to print a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi, with up to six colours and opaque white. With a 340 mm (24.4”) web width on the Domino printer and wider web width of 430 mm (16.9) on the MPS press, this allows converters to run more labels across when running in pure flexo mode, and at a higher speed. Optikett is also purchasing an EF flexo press just prior to Labelexpo Europe, marketing their 7th MPS press investment.

Partnerships with brands to develop several new technology solutions were also showcased at the show, in addition to MPS support of the onsite label academy masterclasses and participation in the linerless trail.

The company unveiled the next generation EF Neo press. The EB narrow web label press was also on the stand and ran demonstrations upon request. MPS also showed -as the first narrow web press manufacturer at Labelexpo Europe – the new hybrid GEW LED UV system (ArcLED) in combination with low migration inks, integrated on the next generation EF Neo press. Also introduced at the show was the MPS RED BOX; a service tool kit which contains a safety set of spare parts.
