Optimized opaque white for rotary screen printing

GERMANY • Zeller+Gmelin, who specialize in UV-curing printing inks, has placed two newly formulated opaque white qualities for rotary screen printing on the market. With this development, the company has optimized its Optiscreen-series so that the new products SR-X55004 and SR-X55400 comply with all current requirements for raw materials used. Both products are silicone-free formulations, for preprinting with opaque white and overprinting with other colour shades and combining with print finishes such as hot foil stamping or printing in thermal transfer processes.

Optiscreen SR-X55004 is an un-tinted opaque white (without colouring). Compared to the previous generation, the current opaque white allows for higher printing speeds of up to 60 m/min (196.8 fpm). The variant Optiscreen SR-X55400 differs by an additional violet tinting. This ensures a higher degrees of whiteness, with otherwise identical properties.
